How we work
A delivery process you can hold us to
Scope, acceptance criteria, change control, testing, documentation and handover. The parts of delivery that decide whether a project succeeds are rarely the interesting ones.

Understand
We start with the problem and the constraints, including the ones that are political rather than technical. If a project should not go ahead, that is a better outcome than finding out in month four.

Define
Scope, acceptance criteria and exclusions written down and agreed before build starts. Anything not in the specification is a change, handled in writing.

Architect
A design proportionate to the requirement. Conventional technology chosen for maintainability, not for how it will look on a conference slide.

Build
Delivery in phases that each produce something usable, with code review and automated tests as part of the work rather than a later phase.

Validate
Testing against the acceptance criteria agreed at the start, including accessibility and security checks, with results shared rather than summarised.

Deploy
Release into an environment the buying organisation controls, with separated environments, a rollback position and no undocumented manual steps.

Support
Documentation, handover and an agreed support arrangement. The organisation should be able to change supplier without the system becoming unmaintainable.

Public-sector buying has a shape: a specification, a questionnaire, an evaluation panel and a contract. Astri Devs is set up to respond to that process properly — documented company details, written method statements, and answers to security and data protection questions that do not have to be chased.

Security
Security is an engineering requirement
Not an afterthought, and not a certificate on a wall. Dependency management, secrets handling, code review, environment separation and least-privilege access are part of how systems get built here. We publish what we actually do, and we complete supplier security questionnaires during procurement.
