Cookies and Similar Technologies
An honest inventory of everything this website puts on your device, and the controls for it.
The short version
This website sets no advertising cookies, uses no analytics product, and loads no third-party tracking scripts. The only thing stored on your device is a record of the privacy choice you make, and it never leaves your browser. There is no consent banner because there is currently nothing optional to consent to — if that changes, you will be asked before anything optional is set.

That table is the whole list. It covers cookies, local storage and session storage — not only traditional cookies, because the law and the privacy impact do not stop at cookies. This site uses no tracking pixels, no fingerprinting and no third-party embeds.
Fonts are served from this domain rather than from a font provider, so loading a page discloses nothing to a third party beyond the hosting and content delivery provider that has to see the request in order to serve it.
Categories
Strictly necessary
Always on. These make the site work and cannot be switched off. On this site that means the record of your privacy choice, and the short-lived rate-limiting record described in our privacy notice that keeps the contact form usable.
Analytics
Not in use. We have not installed an analytics product. If we ever do, it will appear in the table above, it will be off by default, and you will be asked before it runs.
Marketing
Not in use, and no category for it is shown in the preferences dialog. Displaying a marketing toggle for tracking that does not exist would be meaningless.
Third-party content
We do not embed video players, maps, social media widgets or chat tools on this site. If we ever add third-party content that could set storage on your device, it will be behind a click-to-load placeholder that tells you what it is before it loads, rather than loading automatically.
Changing your choices
Use the Privacy choices link in the footer of every page. It opens the same dialog wherever you are on the site, shows exactly where you currently stand, and lets you change it. Withdrawing is exactly as easy as agreeing.
Optional categories start switched off, everywhere, for everyone. Nothing optional runs before an affirmative choice, and we do not use visitor location to decide whether to ask.
This notice is at version 1. If we change the categories, the version increases and you will be asked again rather than having an old choice applied to something new.
Global Privacy Control
If your browser or an extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal of all optional storage and tracking. The signal takes precedence over any earlier permissive choice stored in your browser, and the optional controls in the preferences dialog are disabled while it is present, with an explanation of why.
Controlling storage in your browser
You can clear or block cookies and local storage for this site through your browser's settings, independently of anything on this page. Clearing storage for this site removes the record of your privacy choice, so the site will treat you as a new visitor and default to everything optional being off.
